Sunday Summaries| Lots of eye bags, late nights and pints, rain, wine and a sexy new Liverpool shirt.

Hey there,

So just to start off, I’ve been a big fan of reading lots of blog features where people talk about their week and what they’ve been up to for some time now and I’ve been wanting to start my own Sunday summaries on this blog for a while now and now that I am back freezing my arse off in the UK, I fully plan to love this blog and put a lot more time and effort into it than previously. I plan to keep a weekly schedule on here for my Sunday Summaries, high lighting what I have been up to that week for any nosy sods that might happen to stumble across my little corner of the internet. Even if the only person who reads this happens to be my mum. As I wrote on my previous Sunday Summariaries posts, once again this blog post shall be more of a wing it situation and we’ll see where I can go from here.

Also I apologise for the slow updates, not only on my Sunday Summaries series, but also throughout my blog in general. I have hit a slump recently and lost a bit of my mojo so the words just haven’t flown recently as well as they are capable of doing and honestly I haven’t really felt like writing much recently either, so there’s that. I have plans to go through my blog, tidy up, shorten, change and edit posts and the lay out within the next few weeks, so bare with me for the crappy, messy blog, for the time being at least.

This week’s blog starts 15th until 21st  of May  2017.

This week consists of a strong permeant eye bag game (and exhaustion from work), phone less (again), lots of rain, one banging bubble bath, wine tasting,  a lack of motivation to workout and Liverpool finishing in the top four.

Gym Sessions and ab attempts.

I’m not even going to attempt to even go there with the workouts, gym and swim sessions this week, because it’s depressing just writing down that I made zero attempts. Although, the idea was there a couple of times, which never materialised into an actual workout of course.  Next week is a new week and all that, yada yada yada, let’s hope I am more successful. I know already that I will be swimming at least once as I have plans to go on Tuesday with my friend Paige who is finally free from Uni stress and exams. So, there’s that. I plan to go to the gym a few times too,  watch this space though.

It’s been very busy this week, well the weekend, the week has been fairly normal. We had a huge group in for a ‘skittles tour,’ where they come down three times a year, completely book the whole hotel out, drink a shit load of drinks and just have a party really. It’s fun, but exhausting. Everyone’s had long hours this week, which is nice for the money, but I feel so tired now and my body is aching all over, praise for the wonder of bubble baths! I’m definitely not used to finishing work at 3am and having to be back in at 3pm the next day and then 10am the day after. Jaz and I did make it fun by going for dinner and a few drinks before our 10pm shift on the Friday night, although, that cocktail was pretty strong, and I ended up with a bit of a headache for the rest of the shift.

We started the week with a one hour and a half wine tasting session, which turned out to be paid, which is always fun. I essentially got paid and hour and a half to sit and drink wine, oh and hopefully learn stuff. Not bad. There were a few members from all four hotels, but we had the most, and I’m glad it pissed down with rain on my walk there as I had an excuse to look shit in front of everyone. I woke up and wasn’t in the mood to make much effort with my appearance or fashion sense, so the weather did me a favour.  Wine tasting wasn’t too bad over all actually. My mouth tasted weird afterwards though, all vinegary and shit, which took four rounds of vigorous teeth brushing to remove the taste out of my mouth. 🍷We had a staff meeting straight afterwards, which was my first one at this job. I ended up disliking myself for being too scared to bring up the problem that a few of us have with one of the waitresses, who’s incredibly rude to us.

Getting out of the flunk.

I’m sad to say, but like last week I am still in the ‘flunk,’ and I know that I am not getting as far forward or as productive as I would like to have been, which is bloody frustrating to put it lightly.  Like last week, I wish that once again I could sit here and write that I was very productive this week, but that would be lying (again). I’m still a little emotionally drained, and still craving that banging salary job that’s somewhere in my future, I just need the little bit of luck that I am inwardly screaming out for, which I know will come my way soon, I just need to work a little bit harder for it. A conversation that I had in the car the other night with mum when she kindly came to give me a lift home from work hit home though, describing exactly how I felt, which has highlighted my problem and will hopefully exactly what I need to get myself out of this runt that I seem to have been stuck into for the last few weeks. Mum’s right, I am exhausted from working long shifts in a bar, which is making me not want to do any job searching and applying, (which is something I need to be getting  on with if I want to move forward), or doing anything else remotely productive. However, this week I shall hopefully have a more productive week of blogging  editing, tidying, scheduling and job applying, as well as working out and getting my abs back. I’d also really love to do some website editing and posting this week.

Catch Ups.

This week I only had one week off, and as most of my remaining friends down here were busy with killer work loads and finishing off uni deadlines, complete with me being tired and knowing that I have four days off next week, I actually didn’t have any catch ups this week with friends, although a few friends and I did make an effort, nothing just never came about. I have a few plans for next week, so I’m sure I’ll have lots of thing’s to write about in this category on next week’s instalment.

Once again I have been on a Gilmore Girls binge this week, which is always fun. Mum and I have managed to fit in a couple of episodes, on a couple of nights this week, when my shifts have allowed me to be home early enough that mum is still awake. Also, the rainy, dark weather outside has been the perfect Netflix and Chill afternoons on the sofa with a cuppa, getting lost in a world of Stars Hollow, which has been incredibly difficult to drag myself away from when work ruins my fun. I’m now on Season Five, and thank fuck Luke and Lorelai have finally got their shit together and have accepted that they are ‘End Game’. Ps, yes I know I am very late to the party.

Once again, getting back into reading is one of the best decisions I made and starting and ending my day in a comfy marshmallow is a top idea. In fact the wet weather this week has made me pretty much just want to lie in bed all day most mornings. 💦📖  I finished the book Dead To Me, which I mentioned in last week’s summary blog, and since then I have also read The Perks Of Being a Wallflower and I have just started my new book – Me, You and Tiramisu. Planned reviews for books that I have recently read to come, watch this space.  For the record, I  enjoyed The Perks of Being A Wallflower, although that age old book vs film debate came out and I found myself wishing that I had read the book before seeing the film as I have lost that great feeling of being able to visualise a character based solely on the author’s description. Which sucked slightly, but, never mind. Needless to say though, it was well written with a clear protagonist voice.

This week I have enjoyed a bit of cooking from time to time, including discovering just great a simple veggie finger wrap tastes. I also made some great eggs as I make some great fried eggs, and enjoyed cooking a pasta dish for dad.

These may look messy, but tasted so good. Also, I forgot the wraps, so I had to improvise.
Carb load.
I somehow managed to whip this up for dad and myself and ram my plate in my gob, to be fed and ready for work in good time.

Ebony got us tickets to see Linken Park at the O2 in July. I am rather excited,  although truth be told I barely know any of their songs and I have also accidentally double booked for a girl’s holiday, so I am going to have to work stuff out now, oops.

I had a rare evening /night off work and decided that I wanted to attempt some tacos as I had some of the ingredients in and had been planning on it for a while. Anyway,  I popped down the road to a little Sainsburies just down the road from my house to try and pick up some tins of these bean things.  For the record I walked to Sainsburies, CoOp, Tesco and another CoOp looking for these bloody things, in some sloppy sweat pants too as I had expected to only be popping out briefly.  Whilst in Sainsburies, I saw a DVD of Lion and went to buy it as I had really enjoyed it when I watched the cinema in Australia, which turned out to have been an interesting experience, as I was told I couldn’t buy it after all as it’s not released yet. This is despite the fact it was out on the shelf, with all the information. I had never been told I couldn’t buy a DVD before as it technically wasn’t out yet. Whilst out on my travels I also bumped into this guy called Sean, who’s now a body guard, who I knew from my 18 year-old clubbing days, which was an interesting 2012 throw back. I always found him rather weird and creepy, so I now avoid his Facebook messages.

This week I treated myself to the new Liverpool 2017/18 home shirt, which is the special 125 year anniversary top, it also pissed it down, so I immediately regretted all those times I stopped myself from ordering it online to arrive at my house on the day of its release.  My new Liverpool shirt though,  is the bee’s knees. 🔥🔥🔥 I got absolutely soaked on the walk into town to get though, but it was well worth it. Also, a hot, steamy shower can solve anything. I did find myself half way down the hill questioning my life choices, but I had already committed myself so I continued to squelch towards town. I also bumped into my ex best friend Ellie’s mum Fiona, which was a real blast from the past. I forgot how posh she spoke. It was nice to see her though.

For most of this week, feeling knackered and lazy, I didn’t feel like going out too much, sadly.

On miserable wet days, we turn into hermits, don’t go outside and barely socialise.

As I write this, LIVERPOOL FINISHED IN THE TOP FOUR!!!! BRING ON THE CHAMPION’S LEAGUE. Gutted Arsenal. On a serious note, I’m so happy. We deserve to be in there, we have been up there all season, to lose out to Arsenal, who on a personal level I don’t think deserved to be in there given the fact that they were barely in the top four all year.
Also, a cheeky 3-0 win over Middlesbrough means we ended the season in style and I had a top end to my busy weekend.

So yes, usual ending to this blog. I plan on going through my blog and tidying this rambly mess up, adding in the photos etc. So no judging for the time being. This blog is a work in progress.

Until next time,
Love, hugs and pugs.

Keri. xo
