So just to start off, I’ve been a big fan of reading multiple blogs where people state their weekly favourites for some time now and I’ve been wanting to start my own weekly summaries for a while. I started one draft in November, which actually didn’t work out with timings and stuff and never got finished or posted. Which is probably a good thing given how late in the year I was trying to start something. As it’s now 2017, I’m going to give this one a real good crack.
I have decided to narrow it down into three things that I am finding to be a hit this week and three things which are a miss this week, just like the kind of things you often find in magazines.
So without further ado:
(Week starting 20/3/17)
1| Being employed.
I have a job. Yay. Finally. 😉 Ok so it’s pretty much minimum wage, and not something that I would consider as a full time thing as I have higher aspirations than just (badly) pouring pints for oldies during bingo. But as it stands, it’s money, it’s enjoyable, everyone’s lovely and the job perks are rather cruisey. So I have no complaints. I just need to work on my dismal, pint pulling skills now lol. I also have a fantastic job opportunity on Wednesday, which I won’t go into too much right now as I really don’t want to jynx anything, but I really do hope it works out for me. But yes, I’m enjoying it, socialising, learning new skills and getting paid. It’s really not all that shabby. Oh and I also get free swims in the spa pool, which leaves you feeling super by the way, and £2 to use the luxurious looking , expensive for a membership, gym. Did I mention? Exciting.
2| Clean bedding.
It goes without saying, that you simply cannot beat the bliss feeling that greets you when you lie down in a cocoon of freshly changed and made bed sheets. Especially when you add clean Pjs into the mix too. Simple things eh!
3| Grey’s Anatomy.
Once again, this show makes my list because I am obsessed with this show.It’s additive as hell and all I have pretty much done recently is watch a shit load of Greys. Need I say more?
1| Sky TV removing all the free boxset channels.
Basically, no more Greys. 😦 At least not without having to pay extra anyway. Argh! Also it ended on a really big cliff hanger. You have no idea how gutted I am lol.
2| Unable to sleep.
Recently, since I started my job in the bar, and no I’m not complaining, but I have been unable to switch my mind off and sleep at a normal time this week. Leaving me with a very tired face haha.
3| Lack of motivation.
Just like last week, the whole lack of motivation has been a struggle this week to workout and run mostly. And write too, to a certain extent anyway. I haven’t worked out at all for almost two weeks and now I am definitely getting flabby. Frustrating and frustrated at myself are what springs to mind. Never mind, next week is a new week.
So there you have it, three things I’m digging and three things I’m not digging this week. Hopefully my life will still be slightly exciting in one way or another now that I am back in England for the time being. I know it’s not quite Australia, but I will enjoy every day, I mean after all, life is meant to be enjoyed.
I’m planning on scheduling a weekly hit and miss list every Saturday. Let’s see how long this lasts for.
